I began to study myself, how does the procedure for withdrawing money work? I’ve never done this myself! When I read that the withdrawal of money takes place within 1-3 working days, I breathed a sigh of relief... Well, I think there hasn’t been a single working day yet, which means the money hasn’t gone anywhere... Moreover, withdrawal is only possible to a personalized Yandex wallet, to an anonymous then it’s impossible, it means they’re checking that it’s my wallet... Then I saw that to withdraw you need to enter the number of the “linked” phone, then I “shuddered”... I didn’t receive any SMS codes! Was the phone hacked?! I requested call details - no, there were no SMS! Everything became unclear... There was nothing left to do but wait for a response from support.
On the 8th afternoon, support wrote that the security department would deal with my issue, and told me to wait for a response from them. To my requests to consider something quickly, before the money was gone, the answer was that they were working on a first-come, first-served basis. The turn “reached” only on the 9th. I received a “laconic” response from the security department that they requested confirmation for withdrawal via email, the response came, the money was “gone”, nothing could be returned, “Thank you for your attention.” A curtain.
But I didn’t stop there. I ask a question, what about the SMS code? He wasn't there! The answer “killed” me. It turns out that by confirmation through a phone number, Letyshops’ “advanced” security specialists do not mean an SMS code, like all “normal” services, but simply: entering the phone number itself into the field! Yes, such nonsense! Naturally, if the mailbox is opened, each of us will have a letter there where we indicated this number... Well, isn’t it so?.. For example, I had letters with my resumes there...
Further - more... It “realizes” to me that I logged into the Letyshops account with my password! Those. the scammers did not change it. Although they could do this if they had access to mail! It turns out that they picked him up? In one day you found the password for both the mail and Letyshops?! It’s difficult... Oh, why? They could have just replaced it!
One more nuance. On the website, in the “withdrawal of funds” section, it is stated that “Withdrawal of funds from different accounts to the same details is not possible.” It turns out that for each “patient” like me, scammers create a separate, and personalized wallet?! Where do they get so many fakes? After all, to create a personalized wallet, you need a “living” person with a passport.
Let's summarize.
In one day, January 5th, some scammers picked two passwords. By the way, they logged in from a different IP address, but this apparently did not alert the security service. We added the “left” Yandex-money number to the settings, my number was not there at all, because... I didn't withdraw a penny. We created a request to withdraw money. It was confirmed by a reply email. By the way, there was not a trace of these letters left in my mailbox; apparently, the scammers were very “careful” and cleaned up after themselves. Oh, yes, I forgot, they also confirmed it with a phone number))). Despite the fact that it was during the holidays, Letyshops quickly withdrew this money. Although the support didn't work. This is such a strange thing, the support didn’t even work, but I withdrew the money. I was given the final answer on the 9th. When asked why you don’t contact Yandex to find out who received the money, they sent me to the police about this.
Conclusion.
Actually I have 2 conclusions.
1. Letyshops’ security system is as leaky as a colander. They don't care about the safety of the client's money. I can only explain their “know-how” with confirmation by phone NUMBER instead of a full SMS code by the desire to save pennies on the cost of sending SMS. Their pennies are worth more to them than our money. They are not going to solve customer problems together.
2. There are too many nuances that speak in favor of the version that there are no “scammers”. Or rather, there is, but it’s not “someone”, but Letyshops itself. Well, or someone next to him. Maybe employees. The following arguments support this version:
— why pick up a password for your account when you can reset it? The answer is that there is no need to select anything, it is already known;
— why withdraw money on non-working days, when even support does not work? The answer is to delay the time to find out so that there is no turning back;
— it’s difficult and expensive to create a new personalized wallet every time for the next “patient”. The answer is that no one creates it, it’s the same wallet from Letyshops itself or an accomplice.
