Official Unlock of all iPhone models. Unlocking iPhone

iPhone quickly gained popularity among users mobile phones. High quality build and reliable software, user-friendly interface, variety of programs and utilities. But compared to other mobile brands, the cost of iPhone is comparatively high. Therefore, a fairly common practice among users is to buy an iPhone with an operator contract and then.

How to unlock iPhone 3GS?

In order to unlock iPhone 3GS from the operator, you need to (open access to file system phone). This will allow you to install Cydia on your iPhone and perform a software unlock of the device, as well as install programs and applications without restrictions. It is necessary to distinguish between the concepts of “phone firmware version” and “modem firmware”. Latest version iPhone firmware 3GS is 6.1.6, on which you can do an untethered full jailbreak (both old and new boot). The standard version of the modem on this firmware is 05.16.04, but this modem cannot be unlocked, so it is necessary to flash the modem version 06.15 from the iPad into the phone, then using the Redsn0w utility to keep the GPS module working.

In order to find out what firmware versions are installed in the phone, go to the menu “Settings-General-About this device” or if in English “Settings-General-About” and find out all the necessary information. 3GS on latest version 6.1.6 it is also possible through wi-fi network, because in order to preserve the possibility of untethered jailbreaking, we advise you to completely disable the iPhone update function via Wi-Fi.

So, today you can do an untethered jailbreak for current version firmware 6.1.6 and unlock the iPhone by installing the ultrasn0w program for software unlocking the phone.

How not to make a brick:

Note! iPhone 3GS released after the 28th week of 2011 have a new radio module memory chip (36MY1EH instead of 36MY1EE), which cannot be flashed to the 06.15 modem, otherwise the result will be a non-working iPhone with a gray IMEI without Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Don't try to flash it, checked! - software solution There are no such devices yet. You only need to do the official unlocking. As a result of upgrading the modem to 06.15, the iPhone spontaneously reboots every 2 minutes, constantly searches for the network even without a SIM card installed, and has “grey” wi-fi, bluetooth and IMEI. You can find out the iPhone release date in "Settings-General-About this device" item " Serial number" ("Serial number"). If 3-4-5 digits of this number are above 128, then this iPhone Before flashing the 3GS, you must disassemble it and see what version of the modem chip is installed in your phone.

Modern smartphones store a lot of not only useful information, but also confidential. To prevent sensitive data from falling into third hands, prudent users protect the device with a password, fortunately, smart phone manufacturers provide this option. Of course, i-devices are no exception - even the “old” iPhone 3 G can be “protected” with a password that will not allow a curious hunter of other people’s data beyond the lock screen.

Unfortunately, sometimes this secret code becomes an obstacle for the owner of the device, which, in general, is not surprising - today we store a lot of passwords in our heads and when one of them slips out of our heads, this is quite natural.

However, the fact that this situation is natural does not make it any easier for the forgetful user - after all, there is a panic in his head - what should I do now, will I be able to continue using my device? Well, we hasten to rejoice - you can and you won’t even lose your data. In this article we will tell you how you can unlock an iPhone 3G and 3GS if you have forgotten the password.

So, in a situation where the screen unlock code is completely forgotten and manual selection is a pointless undertaking, you will have to turn to the “great and terrible” iTunes program, or as it was “affectionately” dubbed by advanced Apple fans – “tuna”.

Most users are accustomed to the fact that this service helps with the exchange of content between an i-device and a PC, and when they find out that it also has other (much more important) functionality, they are quite surprised. One of the very cool options in iTunes is the ability to restore an iOS device, that is, erase all settings from it (including the ill-fated forgotten password) and content. No, there is no need to be scared, the content can then be easily extracted from backup copy(which, again, is done through iTunes) and in the end we get a smartphone with factory settings with a reset password and all its content.

Making a backup

So, first of all, let's do the backup:

Ready! All you have to do is wait until the program copies data from your iPhone to your PC.

It is worth noting that backup is generally performed through the iCloud menu, but this very menu is located “inside” the iPhone, well, since we don’t remember secret code to unlock the gadget, we can’t get to this menu, that is, this option is eliminated.

Important information for those who have set up on their Apple automatic creation backups! In the iCloud menu of the smartphone itself, you can configure automatic execution backup - a very cool option, but! We remind you! Uploading new data to the cloud in automatic mode is performed only if the device is locked, charging from the network and has access to the network, and not via 3G/4G, but always via Wi-Fi. Remember the last time these conditions were met. If quite a long time ago, probably in iCloud copies Some new data is missing, so it’s better to play it safe and make a backup using tuna.

Resetting a forgotten password

So, all our data has been successfully backed up, which means it’s time, with a clear conscience and peace of mind, to erase all content and settings along with the forgotten secret code:

All! When the program restores the iPhone, it will automatically reboot the device and prompt you to set parameters initial setup.

Getting rid of the password using iCloud

As we said above, you won’t be able to perform a backup on a locked iPhone using iCloud, but you can erase the password using this cloud service It's very possible. The peculiarity of completely cleaning the gadget in this case is that we do not need the device itself - the reset is carried out via iCloud.com:

1 Go to the “cloud” website in your “ Personal Area", specifying the Apple ID parameters. Don't remember your Apple ID? Use the iForgot service.

2 Click on the “Find iPhone” icon, then “All devices”.

3 Select your gadget from the list.

4 Now a menu should appear on the right, click “Erase iPhone” in it.

Ready! After the reset, the device will automatically reboot and prompt you to perform the initial setup.

How to get data back?

At the beginning of the article, we promised that all your content would be saved in a copy, and then we taught you how to make a backup. Now the main question remains - how to extract data from this mythical copy and “arrange” everything in its place on the device. It's very simple!

Do you also remember about the initial settings screen that automatically “pops up” after a reset? So, when the “Programs and Data” item of the initial setup appears in front of you, tap “Recover from an iCloud copy” or “Recover from an iTunes copy” and follow the simple instructions that the device will give you depending on the selected option. When the restoration is complete, as we mentioned above, you will have a smartphone with all the previous content, but factory settings, which, among other things, do not include a password.

What are the dangers of manually selecting a password?

As you can see, the instructions for resetting your password are quite simple. But! If you decide that picking a password manually is still much faster, we hasten to warn you - this is a good idea when you have a maximum of 3-5 possible options in mind.

Why? Yes, because after the 6th incorrect combination the gadget will “turn off” for a minute, and each subsequent attempt is punishable by blocking for a longer time. After error 10, the device will display the message “iPhone is disabled. Connect to iTunes." When you connect to the program, the only action available is to restore your smartphone. And this begs the question: wouldn’t it have been easier to start with it? It would just save time!

Help! iTunes is asking for a password!

In general, when setting a lock code on an iPhone, this same code is usually not requested when connecting to “tuna”; it is this fact that makes it possible to back up before destroying all settings and data along with the password. However, the Apple giant's support service does not rule out situations where the program will require a password; why this happens is not explained.

However, the question is different: what should a user do if he finds himself in such a depressing situation? Unfortunately, all that remains is to immediately proceed to the reset procedure; a backup will not work. However, when, after eliminating the information, the setup screen appears in front of you, we still recommend choosing one of the options with restoring from a copy. Maybe once you or the device automatically created copies and at least some of the information could be pulled out.

By the way, you can check if there is any content in the “cloud” by going to your Apple ID on the “cloud” website; if it is empty, your only hope is iTunes, that is, your option is “Restore from a copy of iTunes”

Let's summarize

Well, now you know how to unlock iPhone 3 G and 3 GS, although in general these instructions are relevant for any i-smartphone model. As you can see, everything is very simple! We hope everything works out for you and you don’t lose your data.

Unlock iPhone - Bought an iPhone abroad

If iPhone does not work with your SIM card, does not activate or reports an error when activating the network - in 99% of cases you are the owner of a blocked or locked to the operator cellular communication iPhone.

When you try to activate or use such a device via iTunes or Wi-Fi, the following messages may appear:
1. “The SIM card installed in the Internet phone apparently does not have support. To activate an Internet phone, only compatible SIM cards can be used..."
2. "Inserted into this iPhone SIM card belongs to a cellular operator that is not supported according to the current policy on the activation server. The problem you are experiencing is not related to your iPhone hardware. Insert another SIM card from a supported carrier or request that your carrier unlock this iPhone..."

Hello. About a year ago I received a completely locked iPhone 3g with firmware 4.2.1, which only offered emergency calls.
That's what happened to him. It was impossible to even use it in any way, just to crack nuts.

I bought it for pennies at an American auction for tests and new experience. It said for spare parts, but the phone turned on by itself.

When I connected it to the computer, unfortunately I saw that it did not see it (I checked it on different Windows versions) and threw this iPhone out to collect dust in a dark place. And a year later I decided to take it apart, blow it out, and fix the cables.

And lo and behold, I connect it to the computer and it is identified by it. I was glad about this and immediately began looking for an iPhone 3g unlock in a search engine.

In this article I will describe what difficulties I encountered, so that if you suddenly get this rarity, you can also cope with unlocking it. My task was to unlock it so that it would at least turn on so that it could be used as an iPod for music and applications, but I completely unlocked it and now it is a good functional dialer.

Attention! This is not a manual for firmware and unlock. This personal experience and a description of the problems I encountered. I advise you to use specialized resources if you don’t understand something.

You will find all files and firmware in the search engine (if there are requests, I will add them)

So. We will need

Iphone 3g 1 piece
iPhone cord 1 piece.
program redsn0w_win_0.9.6b5(version not lower than this)
iTunes- download from the official apple website.
Firmware iPhone1,2_4.2.1_8C148_Restore.ipsw.
Common sense (optional)

So. First of all, we put the iPhone into recovery mode. As I noticed, there are several such modes, and if at one of the stages you enter it incorrectly, it simply won’t work.

When translating, the device must be connected to the computer.
Let's translate it like this.
Turn off the smartphone.
Press Home and Power button
— When we see the apple on the screen, release the power button but hold Home.
— When it says iTunes and a string is drawn, you can release the button.

iTunes will detect your phone in recovery mode. Be sure to press the button Shift and press "Restore Iphone" and select the previously downloaded firmware iPhone1,2_4.2.1_8C148_Restore.ipsw. We are waiting for it to install, it will take a few minutes. When everything is installed, the device will reboot.
Next you will have to work with the program Redsnow. This is where difficulties have already arisen (I spent several hours sorting out the errors piece by piece and searching the forums)

Firstly: if you have Windows vista and above, right-click on the file Redsnow.exe and go to the program properties. Go to the compatibility tab, check the box “Run in compatibility mode for:” and select Windows xp service pack 3 and click apply.

After this, launch the program with administrator rights. Click "Browse" and open the same firmware that was installed in iTunes iPhone1,2_4.2.1_8C148_Restore.ipsw. and press Next.
The settings selection window will appear. First of all, we need JailBreak, check the box Install Cydia. If you have the same locked brick as mine that nothing can be done, put a tick on Install Ipad Baseband to upgrade modem to 0.6.15. If you have a working iPhone and you only need to jailbreak or unlock it to use SIM cards from any operator, then you don’t need to install iPad Baseband, after that you will not be able to use official firmware.

Click next.
— Turn off the device. The cable must be connected.
— Get ready and click Next. Suggestions will be written to put the device into recovery mode. Do as written:
— Hold power for 3 seconds and an apple will appear.
— Without releasing it, press the Home button and hold for 10 seconds (the apple will disappear, the device will seem to turn off, but don’t be alarmed).
— Release the power key but hold the Home key. When you see that the firmware has started, you can release the home key. All you have to do is wait for everything to be installed - about 5 minutes.

Do not try to enter the device into recovery mode in other ways, otherwise nothing will simply be installed, you need to do it exactly as described

.

Problems that I had.

If you have redsnow stuck on the “Waiting for reboot” or “uploading ramdisk” process.

Perhaps you entered the recovery mode incorrectly (it should be as described in redsnow and the article “I personally couldn’t flash it for a long time because I didn’t enter it correctly.
— Also try reconnecting the cable to the device.
— Disable antiviruses and firewalls.
— Try changing the USB port.
— Try from another computer.

Do the following:

Restart the program. Open the task manager (Ctrl+Shift+Escape), select the processes tab, check the “Display processes of all users” checkbox, right-click on the redsnow.exe process and select set mapping. There, check the box only for CPU 1.
And again, select the firmware and do it as needed. If that doesn't help, try starting Windows in safe mode or try on another computer.

I didn't have any other problems. After Redsnow has done its job, the phone reboots and updates the system for a few minutes. And now we have a half-working iPhone 3. Go to Cydia, you will be prompted to install updates, be sure to do them.

Now we needed to unlock it for any SIM card. This is done by installing a tweak Ultrasn0w.
First way.
— Go to Cydia.
— Select sources — Edit — Add.
— And add the repository address ihacksrepo.com, but I already had it in the default addresses.
— Install Ultrasnow from there.

Unfortunately, I was unable to install from there, I had to download ultrasnow packages to my computer and download them from my computer via file manager ifunbox.
The utility consists of two files
mobilesubstrate.deb and ultrasn0w_1.2.deb .

Go through the file manager along the path // private/var/root/Media/Cydia/AutoInstall
and upload the file there mobilesubstrate.deb then reboot your smartphone.
Then you throw it there ultrasn0w_1.2.deb and reboot again. Now all that remains is to reboot again and any SIM card will work.

How to throw games and applications through a computer.
For such purposes you need appsync to your smartphone. Go to cydia, add to sources apt.alien.com and there you download the appsync utility for your version of IOS.

So, after all this I have a good dialer, although I think I will continue experimenting with it and will test custom firmware for it.

The unlocking procedure involves jailbreaking - hacking operating system iOS to make changes to it. It should be noted that this operation is not approved by the manufacturer, and after it the device loses its warranty. But jailbreaking allows you to unlock your iPhone and use it with a SIM card from almost any mobile operator.

Jailbreak instructions

  1. On your smartphone, launch the Safari web browser.
  2. Go to JailbreakMe.
  3. Slide the “Slide to Jailbreak” slider to download and install JailbreakMe on your iPhone.
