Unlocking 3g modem. Unblocked the modem from MTC, now from MegaFon! Unlocking Huawei MTS modems

Good afternoon All currents decided to take a risky step, plucked up courage and unlocked the modem from MTS, fortunately the modem is alive and works well with any SIM cards. Otherwise, I would have to sit without the Internet for some time and look with sad eyes at the dead with my own hands modem.

Why did I need to unlock the MTS modem? I have two MTS SIM cards, and this is what happened that defies any logic. On one SIM card, the download speed from the same “Torrent” is only 60 kB/s, and on the second SIM card, when using the same modem, the speed reached 500 kB/s, which generally suited me quite well!

But! Somehow I don’t really like such quirks of MTS, or I just don’t understand why there is such a difference in download speed. Although initially the first SIM card worked well, but then something apparently happened!

The last straw was that in cloudy weather, when the whole sky is covered with a 3G network, it’s impossible to find a 3G network, no matter how hard I try, no matter what I do. I was doing complete nonsense, reading various articles on the net describing how to improve the modem signal. In general, all this is nonsense and complete nonsense!

The 3G signal was lost in bad weather not only in the village, but also in the city. How many times have I noticed that the 3G signal disappeared while sitting at work almost in the center of the city!

And with the EDGE network, surfing the Internet is dangerous for your health, you can write yourself a trip to a psychiatrist, psychologist, psychoneurologist, psychotherapist, or even go crazy!

The second option suited me more than the first, and besides, my friends suggested that the Internet from the megaphone is quite high-quality and reliable. And I have no choice. Since Beeline doesn’t pick up anything at all in the village, you can’t even make a phone call! With MTS everything is already clear, so all that remains is the megaphone.

Well, it's decided!!! I'm moving from MTS to Megafon! And immediately a financial problem appears. And the thing is this:

I looked at Megafon’s tariffs and decided that the tariff for 850 rubles per month would suit me! I don’t see any point in connecting to cheaper tariffs, or the monthly traffic allowance is too small for my Internet needs (as I said)! Well, accordingly, you need the modem itself from Megafon, and its price, if you round it up, is 1,000 Rubles.

And connecting to the Internet would cost me about 1,850 rubles. I didn’t really want to part with such a sum! Moreover, the salary is delayed...

Therefore, the budget for the Internet was limited, and I had only two options.

1- Wait for the salary and buy a modem + SIM card.
2- Take a risk, unlock the modem from MTS and buy only a Megafon SIM card.

I decided to take a risk!!! It was decided to unlock the MTS modem and make it universal, so that it would be possible to use any SIM card with this MTS modem!

After reading a bunch of information on the Internet, I found a couple of interesting articles, which I decided to act on. Honestly, it was scary, because I found out that there are, so to speak, “ Defective software that simply kills the modem»

And thank God for the fact that I didn’t stumble upon just such software and crash my modem!

As for the process of unlocking the modem from MTS itself, it will take no more than 5 - 10 minutes and is quite simple!

If you need to unlock a modem from MTS, then I suggest you use the instructions that I used! You will also find the necessary programs there. There are only two of them. New “Connect Manager” and “Unlocker” itself

If there is something that is not clear, then write in the comments or in a PM, I will write instructions with screenshots.

I forgot to say. I unlocked the ZTE MF 112 modem

Good news! Especially for those who still use a modem to access the Internet. Did you know that we can make it universal if you unlock the 3G modem.

Today we would like to consider how an ordinary modem can be turned into a unique, that is, universal.Your 3G modem from any network can be converted into a universal modem.

This will give you the opportunity to switch to any network that offers more affordable prices for your data package:

This secret will concern unlocking modems that ask for an unlock code when you install a “third-party” SIM card into your modem (from another operator).

Try it, if you see such a window after inserting another SIM card, then this topic is definitely for you.

So let's get down to business. The process of unlocking the modem is elementary and very, very simple; you don’t need to flash or change the dashboard.

Firstly. You just need to run and calculate the unlock code (Unlock code) using a simple .

IN online calculator just enter the IMEI number of the modem, you will find the number on the back of the modem, and then click on the “calculate code” button.

The calculator automatically generates an ‘unlock code’ (Unlock code), save it in a notepad.

Secondly. The next thing to do is to insert any other SIM card into the modem, i.e. from another operator, for example Megafon, Beeline, Tele-2, etc.

Third. Connect your modem to your computer at USB port.

You will be asked to enter the unlock code simply because you are using a different SIM from the modem, then enter (Unlock code) from the first point that you should have saved. And now your modem is automatically unlocked and it is converted tounique and versatile.

Did you know that with the help of a device built into a laptop, you can easily install similar devices.

And now you can use any network you like!

In this article, we will tell you how to unlock almost any Huawei 3G modem for free, without having any special knowledge or skills. In we have already talked about our service for unlocking Huawei modems, which allows you to generate unlock codes ( NCK codes) for Huawei 3G modems using the old and new algorithm, here we will dwell in more detail on its use.

Almost any mobile operator blocks its modems, preventing you from using a SIM card from another operator. Which is actually obvious, because... often from operators cellular communications There are special conditions and promotions, thanks to which the modem can be sold at a significant discount, which also implies that in the future it will only be used with SIM cards of this operator. Locking a modem for a specific operator (the so-called simlock) is a standard function provided by the modem manufacturer, but most modems also support the opposite function, i.e. unlocking. When you install a SIM card from another operator and launch the Internet connection program supplied with the modem, a window appears prompting you to enter an eight-digit code. This code is called the unlock code, or NCK, Unlock code. After entering this code, the blocking on the operator is removed and the modem begins to “understand” any SIM cards. Let's figure out how to get an unlock code for a Huawei modem.

The first thing you need to do is find out the IMEI of your modem. IMEI is an international mobile equipment identifier, unique for each device using it, and is a 15-digit number. You can see it next to serial number modem on the case or under the cover covering the SIM card. For example, for the Huawei E173 modem from Megafon it is located here:

Or find out programmatically, using any terminal program. To do this, you need to connect your modem to your computer, go to Device Manager -> Modems. Find the HUAWEI Mobile Connect - 3G Modem device there and in the properties on the modem tab, determine the COM port that is used by the modem:

In our case, this is COM9. Then open any terminal program, for example, Hyper Terminal (a standard terminal program included in Windows 95, 98, ME, XP), PuTTy or My Huawei Terminal. We will look at connecting to a modem using PuTTy as an example. The first thing we will do is enable local echo mode in the terminal emulator settings so that we can see the commands we type:

Then connect to the modem:

And enter the command ATI:

If we did everything correctly, we will receive a response from the modem containing our IMEI (as in the figure above). In this case, we determined that our IMEI is 863448016071935.

To determine IMEI, you can use more in a simple way, download from the official website latest version DC Unlocker Client, launch it and click the find button:

When your modem is detected, in the window below we will see the IMEI of the modem, as well as additional information. In particular, we see that the voice functions in this modem are blocked (Voice feature: disabled), the modem itself is locked to the operator (SIM Lock status: locked) and the remaining number of attempts to enter the unlock code (unlock attempts left: 10). To prevent the user from simply brute-force entering the code, the manufacturer has introduced a limitation: by default, 10 attempts to enter the unlock code are available, each time you enter the unlock code incorrectly, the number of these attempts is reduced by one. If you have 0 attempts left to enter the unlock code, you will no longer be able to unlock this modem by simply entering the code, be careful!

Now let's move on to getting the unlock code. Here it is necessary to make a reservation that there are two “types”. Unlock code using the old algorithm (OLD Algo Unlock Code) and unlock code using the new algorithm (NEW Algo Unlock Code). This is due to the fact that for old modem models (old firmware versions) the codes were calculated using the old algorithm, for new modems (modems with new version firmware) - new. Here's a short list of matches:

  • OLD Algo Unlock Code- E150, E1550, E155, E156, E156G, E160, E160G, E161, E166, E169, E169G, E170, E172, E176, E180, E182E, E196, E226, E270, E271, E272, E510, E612, 18, E620 , E630, E630+, E660, E660A, E800, E870, E880, EG162, EG162G, EG602, EG602G, Vodafone K2540, Vodafone K3515, Vodafone K3520, Vodafone K3565, Vodafone K3715, etc. These are modems with the old algorithm.
  • NEW Algo Unlock Code- E137, E171, E173Cs-1, E1732, E173, E1815, E272, E303, E303 HiLink, 320s(E3121), E3131(420d), E3276, E352, E353, E355, E357, E362, E363, E367, , E369, E372, E392, E397, E398, E586, E5776 (821FT), E5776s-22, E589, E589u-12, etc.

To get the unlock code for your modem, click on the link - Unlocking Huawei modems and enter your IMEI in the 15 Digit IMEI field. note that get a free unlock code using a new algorithm this service allows only from 12:00 to 14:00 (GMT+4), at all other times, instead of an unlock code using the new algorithm, you will be given a link to the trading platform, where by entering your IMEI you can purchase this code for a symbolic amount, which will be sent to support fund for the project authors. If you access the service from 12:00 to 14:00 Moscow time, then your server status will be displayed as Free, at all other times as Paid:

We enter our IMEI and press the Calculate button, in response we will receive something like the following:

As you can see, the server response contains an unlock code using the new and old algorithm, a Flash Code (the code required to flash the modem) and a Reset Counter Hash (a code for resetting attempts to enter unlock codes, relevant only for old modems). In our Huawei E173 modem, the unlock code is obtained using a new algorithm, i.e. 82828335. We insert a SIM card from another mobile operator (in our example, not MegaFon), launch the built-in program for connecting to the Internet, and when prompted to enter the unlock code, enter the NCK code we received. Voila, the modem is unlocked. If the prompt to enter the code does not appear, enter the command in the terminal program AT^CARDLOCK="nck code", where nck code is the unlock code we received. Those. for our example we have to enter AT^CARDLOCK="82828335 " (this command should be entered in the same way as we entered the ATI command to determine the IMEI of the modem).

If you used DC-Unlocker Client to determine IMEI, then you can enter the unlock code in it by simply typing the unlock command in the command input window:

We remind you that you must enter the AT command with the unlock code without a SIM card or with a non-native SIM card (from another operator). After this, your modem is unlocked.

Also, using AT commands, you can check the lock status of your modem and the number of remaining attempts to enter the unlock code:

AT^CARDLOCK?- Checking the lock status and remaining attempts to enter the unlock code. In response, the modem will issue CARDLOCK: A,B,0, where A is the locking state, B is the number of remaining unlock attempts. A = 2 means that there is no simlock, A = 1 if the modem is locked.

If for some reason you cannot use the service for unlocking Huawei modems for free, you can purchase a Huawei unlock code at trading platform. The code is sold online, without operator participation. Immediately after entering the IMEI and making the payment (the trading platform plati.ru supports many payment systems, payment from the balance cell phone via SMS and many others. other) you will receive the code you purchased (the code is displayed instantly in the “paid item” window). Be careful when entering IMEI.

With development mobile communications Many people in different parts of the country finally had the opportunity to access the Internet. If in cities access to the network has long been developed, then in villages and villages the situation is much worse. But with the advent of 3G technology, the situation has changed. Many subscribers purchased 3G modems from their operators, but no problem, it turned out that these devices refuse to work with SIM cards from other operators. In this regard, the choice of modem became more complicated. Some people may have modems lying idle at home that do not want to work with “other people’s” SIM cards.

I want to tell you a quick and easy way unlocking Huawei E modems from Megafon and MTS operators.

At the time of writing, the method was successfully tested on the above listed modem models. Don’t be upset if your model is not on the list, this does not mean that this method is not applicable to your modem. In this case, follow the unlocking instructions and write about the unlocking result in the comments indicating your model.

With the same modems from Beeline, this unlocking method may not work. But you can try and unsubscribe in the comments if you are successful.

To unlock a Huawei 3g modem, you will need any non-native SIM card. Insert the SIM card into the modem and connect it to the computer via any USB port. Wait until the system finds and accepts the modem. Next, launch the program window that was installed from the modem, at this moment a window should appear with the message “Enter the unlock code. There are n-attempts left." To get the code, use the “Code Calculator for Huawei” program. You can download it.

In the text input field you need to enter IMEI number your 3G modem. You can find it on the back of the modem. After entering the number, click “Calculate” and receive two codes. Unlock code is what we need. Enter this code into the modem program window and click OK. Be careful when entering codes. If the program window does not disappear after clicking OK, then you made a mistake somewhere, you should double-check the IMEI number.

Who at all The window for entering the code does not appear use the program according

If the window disappeared and the program window accepted normal look, then the unlocking worked. All that remains is to create a new profile in the settings and connect. After the unlocking is completed, this modem should work with all SIM cards and re-unlocking is not required.

Attention: If you were unable to unlock your modem with the code obtained from this calculator, do not enter it several times, because after 10 incorrect entries, the modem will not show the window again. And this is possible if you have a new modem with a new protection algorithm. Unfortunately, such modems are unlocked for a fee.

Many people are wondering: how to reflash an MTS modem on Tele Two or another mobile network. All USB modems are initially locked to a specific operator. And the MTS modem is no exception in this regard. However, there are situations when you need to use a different SIM card, for example, a more favorable tariff from a competing operator.

Also in all regions of the country, or even in neighboring cities, each mobile operator“catches” in different ways. But simply changing the SIM card and starting to use the Internet will not work - for this you will need to unlock or so-called “unlock” the MTS modem.

Basically, all USB modems are produced by two Chinese companies, so each of them can work with a different SIM card. So, how to unlock an MTS modem from two popular manufacturers - Huawei and ZTE.

Manufacturer Huawei

There are plenty of ways to flash an MTS modem using different programs, but the best thing, of course, is to use the utility from the manufacturer. Huawei modem firmware is quite simple. Typically, such devices can be flashed using IMEI - a special number similar to the serial number of any electronics. It is located on a sticker under the cover of the device.

In our case, IMEI is needed in order to receive the unlock code.

Having found out the serial number, go to the company’s website - http://huawei.mobzon.ru and install current version unlocking utilities. It should replace the standard “Connect Manager”, which must be installed on the computer along with the device drivers.

Before downloading the software, make sure that your model is supported by the program (the model is indicated in the documents, and the list of supported devices is on the Huawei website in the program description). After installing the utility, insert the device with the new SIM card into the USB port and run it. A window will appear asking you to enter the unlock code. Let's move on to the next step.

Next, you need to install the HuaweiCalculator program (https://yadi.sk/d/qm_DyX5Uemss4) and run it. In the “IMEI” input field, enter our “serial number” and press the “Calc” button. We look for a window called “NCK” and see an eight-digit number - this is the unlock code for the MTS modem.

It happens that the window for entering the code at startup new program didn't open. Unlocking an MTS modem, in this case, requires installing another utility - Huawei Modem Terminal. We launch it and click on the item “HUAWEI Mobile Connect - 3G PC UI Interface”, and then click “Connect”.

  • AT^CARDLOCK="nck code" - will help to unlock the MTS modem;
  • AT^CARDLOCK? — checks the blocking status.

After request number 2, the answer will appear in the window: CARDLOCK: A, B, 0, where “A” is the state of the device (1 - the device is locked, 2 - no lock), B is the number of possible unlocking attempts (usually out of 10). If it is locked, enter the command AT^CARDLOCK=>>(your eight-digit NCK code).

Firmware for an MTS modem from Huawei takes no more than 20 minutes, but there is another manufacturer - ZTE. You can reflash it using the DC-Unlocker utility. Everything is simple here - when starting, select the brand of the device and click “Unlock”. The program will do the rest without your help.

In this article you learned how to flash an MTS modem for any operator. Reflashing will not take much time, but will allow you to use the Internet of any operator. It is not necessary to have good PC knowledge, because anyone can reflash an MTS modem.
