Russian language on Nokia Lumia 530.

TFT IPS- High quality liquid crystal matrix. It has wide viewing angles, one of the best indicators of color rendering quality and contrast among all those used in the production of displays for portable equipment.
Super AMOLED - if a regular AMOLED screen uses several layers, between which there is an air gap, then in Super AMOLED there is only one such touch layer without air gaps. This allows you to achieve greater screen brightness with the same power consumption.
Super AMOLED HD- differs from Super AMOLED in its higher resolution, thanks to which you can achieve 1280x720 pixels on a mobile phone screen.
Super AMOLED plus- this is a new generation of Super AMOLED displays, differs from the previous one by using a larger number of subpixels in a conventional RGB matrix. The new displays are 18% thinner and brighter than displays made using the old PenTile technology.
AMOLED- an improved version of OLED technology. The main advantages of the technology are significantly reduced power consumption, the ability to display a larger color gamut, reduced thickness and the ability of the display to bend slightly without the risk of breaking.
Retina-high pixel density display designed specifically for Apple technology. The pixel density of Retina displays is such that individual pixels are indistinguishable to the eye at a normal distance from the screen. This ensures the highest image detail and significantly improves the overall viewing experience.
Super Retina HD- the display is made using OLED technology. The pixel density is 458 PPI, the contrast reaches 1,000,000:1. The display has a wide color gamut and unsurpassed color accuracy. Pixels in the corners of the display are smoothed at the sub-pixel level, so edges are not distorted and appear smooth. The Super Retina HD reinforcing layer is 50% thicker. It will be harder to break the screen.
Super LCD is the next generation of LCD technology, it is characterized by improved characteristics compared to earlier LCD displays. The screens not only have wide viewing angles and better color reproduction, but also lower power consumption.
TFT- A common type of liquid crystal display. Using an active matrix controlled by thin-film transistors, it is possible to significantly increase the performance of the display, as well as the contrast and clarity of the image.
OLED- organic electroluminescent display. It consists of a special thin-film polymer that emits light when exposed to an electric field. This type of display has a large reserve of brightness and consumes very little energy.

Nokia Lumia 530:: Review:: Appearance

Most of the top five manufacturers have long chosen their favorite form factors for the design of their devices, and, in fact, time after time they make their clones with different fillings and dimensions. This is normal, because it is technologically advanced and makes the products recognizable. Nokia also clearly demonstrates two constantly used technical solutions - a phone in a “box” and a phone “in a box”! The “box” is a candy bar with a removable thin back cover, and the “box” is the body of the smartphone, removed from the “box” cover. Lumia 530 is a typical “box” - the system module with a display is removed to install SIM cards, memory and battery from the back wall with pronounced side edges, like from a coffin. The plastic cover is made of colored plastic, not painted, which prevents the device from accumulating scratches and abrasions. The advantages of the solution are strength and reliability, the disadvantages are somewhat difficult disassembly, which a device with two SIM cards, in general, does not need...

The layout of the controls is traditional: unlock and volume are on the right, USB is on the bottom, headphones are on top. The control keys are reflected on the display, so, as is clear, they are highlighted, which is incredibly pleasing. Buttons without backlight are also found in devices costing 9-10 thousand rubles, which is incredibly annoying in the dark. Moreover, interestingly, when taking a screenshot, the bottom strip of the screen with the keys is not included in the screenshot!

Thanks to the optimal screen diagonal from the point of view of hand ergonomics, the smartphone fits comfortably in any palm.

...but because of the smoothed to the sides back cover edges can easily “ask for a walk.”

The camera is a natural version “for show”. No flash, no autofocus.

But the speakerphone let us down in terms of sound quality. But it's extremely loud! It's been a long time since I've heard such powerful sound on a phone!

Nokia Lumia 530:: Review:: Display

Lumia 530 display – weakness. It seems that the full impact of the savings aimed at creating a budget gadget was reflected on it.

The display matrix is not IPS, but TFT. Actually, experts can find fault with the fact that IPS is a type of TFT, and TFT is a type of LCD, and so on, delving into the history of the evolution of LCD screens. But I hope you will forgive us for simplifying the terminology, because most people today understand that IPS means bright rich colors and large viewing angles, while its predecessor, TFT technology, cannot boast of this. This is exactly what I wanted to say about the display of the Lumia 530. There is enough brightness, but the colors lack richness, and at slight angles of inclination of the screen, the colors are inverted. The photo clearly shows what, for example, the green Xbox Game icon turns into:

The screen in this device, by the way, also serves as a proximity sensor. There is no sensor as such; the display goes out during a conversation when you touch the glass with your cheek.

To summarize, the 4-inch display is modest, but such is the fate of budget gadgets. Use for the Internet, watching videos, navigation, etc. they can do it without any particular pain, and, given the cost of the device, I see no reason to generate abundant dissatisfied cries from behind the screen...

Nokia Lumia 530:: Review:: Memory

The volume of permanent memory is stated as 4 GB, but in reality it is even less than a gigabyte!

Everything would be fine, but many people buy Nokia smartphones, not least because of the famous HERE navigation. And, since navigation is considered one of the standard branded features, it would be nice if out of the box you could start using it right away. But, since to use you need to download a map of your region, you need a certain minimum amount of memory (about a gigabyte) to install it. And here we are faced with a shortage of built-in gigabytes - even when trying to download a single map of the central region of Russia to a smartphone out of the box, the following message appears:

This is somewhat disappointing - especially if you did not purchase a memory card in advance... Since maps of one country (if it is small) or one region (if the Motherland is large) take up approximately a gigabyte, this had to be taken into account when creating the free amount of memory. So that the phone can work with HERE immediately, even without installing an additional microSD.

Nokia Lumia 530:: Review:: Interface and menu

Unlock:

Windows Phone has two main screens that can be changed by a horizontal slide across the display - the main “desktop” with large icons of frequently used programs, and the screen of all installed applications.

Personalizing the interface involves choosing a dark or light style, the color of the icon tiles, and the background image underneath them. You can also change the location of tiles on the home screen and their size.

In the settings you can choose large or small icons for desktop tiles. On a small device display, larger ones are more convenient.

The quick settings menu is called up at the top:

Holding down the Windows key brings up a list of recently running applications:

Pressing the “Search” key activates YandexSearch, which also has a voice search:

All installed applications:

Nokia Lumia 530:: Review:: Communication

Lumia 530 is a dual-SIM device, so on its desktop we see two separate phone icons for SIM1 and SIM2, and two similar icons for SMS, respectively. At the same time, by clicking on the phone icon, say, SIM1, you can switch to SIM2 on the call screen. The same goes for SMS messages.

Messages:

Email. It can be configured for any mail service, but a characteristic feature of Email in Windows Phone is that in the mail application menu you can attach an attachment to a letter only in the form of a picture from the Gallery. It is possible to send other files by mail, but only if you select the “send by email” function from the corresponding application. Let's say text file you can only send from the “Office”, etc... The user, of course, will get used to it, but, frankly speaking, I’m already tired of waiting for this feature to be finally considered a bug and fixed...

Nokia Lumia 530:: Review:: Camera

After the display, this is the second thing, due to which the device has an affordable price. Five megapixels is, in general, a sufficient resolution for many: there are very, very many who regard the camera in a smartphone as an optional accessory. But in the absence of autofocus and at least a simple single-LED flash (which is also needed to use the phone as a flashlight!) the 5-megapixel camera looks very modest... There is, of course, no shutter button either - photos are taken by clicking on the screen. On a sunny day, the camera takes more or less decent pictures, which, however, are best viewed only on a smartphone display - you shouldn’t display them on large screens to avoid disappointment. Everything else - indoors, twilight, movement, etc., the camera takes pictures rather poorly... The only advantage of the savings, expressed in the absence of autofocus, is very fast shooting! The camera doesn't waste time analyzing the landscape and searching for contrasts to focus on, but takes the shot as soon as you touch the shutter icon. Oddly enough, I liked this mode - it’s very convenient to take pictures along the way. Quality is not cake at all, but, on the other hand, it is better to take a blurry photo quickly than to simply miss the subject while the focus of a good camera phone is “thinking.”

On the main screen of the camera there are buttons for turning on three main modes - “Photo”, “Series of photos” and “Video”.

You can make preliminary settings (but why?), or you can download and install various “Photo Applications” - additional proprietary and third-party programs with their own interfaces and functions for creating photo effects and post-processing images.

Nokia Lumia 530:: Review:: Treasure Tag

Since tests of various mobile accessories on Sotovik do not happen very often, I, whenever possible, try to include in my reviews some interesting things offered by smartphone manufacturers for their gadgets. Wireless chargers, smart watches, NFC tags, etc. Since the Lumia 530 does not shine with functionality, which is natural for a budget device, I decided to spice up the review with a fun accessory that can work both with this smartphone and with any other Nokia Lumia. The accessory is called Nokia Treasure Tag, and is a keychain tag for searching for objects - primarily keys and... the phone itself!

Actually, this is a modern analogue of the good old gadget from the early 90s - a key fob that responds to a whistle. He whistled - it responded with a melodic trill, and you found the keys tumbled behind the sofa!

A tiny device combines two technologies wireless communication– Bluetooth and NFC. To work on searching for objects and a smartphone, a “blue tooth” is used - NFC is used only for easy pairing of the key fob with the phone. If your smartphone doesn’t have NFC, it doesn’t matter, everything works without it! The main thing is to install a special application of the same name from the Market:

The key fob works at a room distance - it is limited by the range of Bluetooth, which in principle is not a long-range interface. But for the home, Nokia Treasure Tag is quite enough - especially since if the lost item does not respond immediately (it is out of range), then as soon as you approach it at a sufficient distance, the signal will definitely sound - because the search continues.

An equally useful function is the search... for the smartphone itself! If you are alone at home and don’t have a second phone to dial your own number, you can take the keys with the Nokia Treasure Tag attached to them, press a button on it, and the smartphone will respond, indicating its location.

The device is powered by a “computer” coin cell battery, like the one used in Bios memory. It does not require regular charging (there is no connector for it!) and powers the gadget continuously for about six months, after which it is simply replaced, because it is inexpensive. To do this, the Treasure Tag case can be opened by lightly picking (for example, with the tip of scissors), while being protected from moisture - there is a rubber seal along the perimeter of the lid!

Nokia Lumia 530:: Review:: Performance and Power

Quad-core processors in smartphones were once a symbol of the high-class, but today every second state employee has them. The Lumia 530 is equipped with an inexpensive Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 MSM8212 processor with a frequency of 1200 MHz + Adreno 302 video processor. This is a “stone” with low performance by quad-core standards, which, in addition, is limited in its operation to the minimum possible volume random access memory smartphone. In the Winfonov version of the AnTuTu benchmark, the 530 scored 11,614 “parrots,” which is almost similar to another device with similar characteristics, the Lumia 630 (11,100 “parrots”), with a comparable 4-core processor and also 512 megabytes of RAM. With such characteristics, the smartphone operates quite smoothly (thanks primarily to the operating system), but, of course, you shouldn’t count on any significant performance feats in 3D games with it.

The gadget is powered by a battery with a capacity of 1430 mAh. The capacity looks frighteningly small - such batteries were installed in ordinary “dumb” phones and retro smartphones at the dawn of democracy. However, the gadget’s modest and undemanding screen allows this battery to power it for a day and a half, and with special efforts, even two.

Let's conduct a simple and visual test, which I traditionally use to evaluate battery efficiency - charge the battery to 100%, reboot the device to clear the memory of clogging programs, turn off all wireless interfaces except cellular communication, set the screen brightness and volume to maximum. We launch a movie in AVI format, lasting 1 hour 23 minutes and weighing 1.45 GB. After finishing the movie, we look at the remaining battery charge in comparison with a couple of other smartphones with not very capacious batteries. 70%, oddly enough... Not a bad result.

Nokia Lumia 530:: Review:: Impressions and conclusions

At the time of writing the review, the cost of the Lumia 530 in the store of one large metropolitan chain of household appliances and electronics (with the letter “U”, one of the two, but we won’t say which) was 4030 rubles, about which there is a notarized screenshot. As a workhorse for the money, the device looks very attractive.

Hard advantages include support for two SIM cards, high speed quad-core processor, convenient dimensions, high-quality assembly with a scratch-resistant body that does not require a case, powerful sound when watching videos and speakerphone. The soft pluses include a traditional Lumiya excellent set of pre-installed software - free HERE navigation, built-in support for office files, " child mode", which allows you to limit the functions of the device in order to let your child play with it; the Nokia Music application, which gives access to a huge music library from which you can download various collections via Wi-Fi and listen to them at any time without an Internet connection.

Of the minuses, of course, it is worth mentioning the short time battery life, a mediocre display and camera, which can certainly frustrate someone who has previously used a mid-to-mid-range smartphone. But, however, the Lumia 530 is not offered as a “downshift” - it is an ideal entry-level device, working or backup.

Nokia Lumia line phones are among the most popular in Russia. Fans of mobile electronics from the Russian Federation respect the Finnish (more recently - de jure American - due to the well-known deal with Microsoft) brand for the consistently high quality of device assembly, functionality, performance, and excellent design. To what extent do these features characterize the Nokia Lumia 530 smartphone?

Characteristics

Let's consider the main characteristics that it has mobile phone 530 Dual SIM.

The device is controlled by Windows Phone OS version 8.1.

The phone has a processor with 4 cores and clock frequency at 1200 MHz.

The smartphone's RAM capacity is 512 MB.

The size of the built-in flash memory is 4 GB, it is possible to install additional microSD modules up to 128 GB.

The device supports 2 SIM cards.

The phone's display diagonal is 4 inches, resolution is 854 by 480 pixels, density is 245 pixels per inch. The sensor is capacitive type, with Multitouch support.

Camera - 5 MP, video recording at 30 frames/sec is possible.

Support for communication standards: Bluetooth version 4.0, Wi-Fi, 3G, DLNA, USB, 3.5 mm audio. Synchronization with PC is possible. There is GLONASS support.

Model features

What features characterize the Nokia Lumia 530? Reviews from users and experts on this matter are very different. Many people focus on the extremely attractive combination of price and functionality of the device. The cost of the smartphone gives reason to talk about it as one of the most competitive in the relevant aspect on the market.

According to some users and experts, the phone in question has something special that sets it apart from other budget models: its approach to design. In this sense, the most affordable devices from Nokia are not much different from premium models. The Lumia line is characterized by noticeable dissimilarity individual devices in terms of hardware, but appearance across all devices - uniform and equally attractive.

Another interesting feature of the Nokia Lumia 530 phone (reviews from many experts confirm this) is its unification with flagship models also in the software aspect. The structure of the interface of the Windows Phone 8.1 OS installed in the device is almost the same as in the premium devices of the Lumia line from Microsoft.

Design and appearance

Let's start a detailed study of the phone with its As some experts note, the design of the device in question is to a certain extent similar to that developed for the Lumia 510 smartphone (despite the fact that the appearance of the devices throughout the entire line is generally uniform). The phone case is made of excellent quality plastic. The smartphone controls are standard and their location ensures very high comfort in using the device. If you remove the back cover of the phone, you will see slots for additional memory cards and SIM cards, as well as the device’s battery.

The owners do not notice any backlash or obvious creaks during the operation of the smartphone. Ease of use and high build quality are the key, according to many users, characteristics of the appearance and design of the Nokia Lumia 530. Reviews from many experts in the field of mobile gadgets are generally close to this assessment. From this point of view, the device in question compares favorably with many budget smartphone models.

Screen

The device's display has the same diagonal as that of the Lumia 520, but the resolution is slightly different - 854 by 840 pixels (in the 520 model - 800 by 480). This difference, according to some experts, is due to the desire of designers to ensure video playback on the screen in 16:9 format. Experts also attribute this to the fact that the pixel density in the phone is higher than in the specified analogue: the Lumia 520 screen is characterized by an indicator of 235 ppi, the model in question is 246 ppi.

At the same time, the display that is present on the Nokia Lumia 530 phone (reviews from many mobile gadget enthusiasts reflect a not entirely positive assessment of this feature) is made using relatively outdated TN technology. While the standard solution even for many budget devices is an IPS matrix. A screen made using TN technology generally has good performance characteristics - in terms of supporting the Multitouch option, for example, but it is characterized by small viewing angles. In addition, glare may appear on the TN display in bright lighting conditions. The developers of the smartphone model in question, moreover, did not equip the device’s screen with an oleophobic coating - which, in principle, can also be considered a standard solution even in the segment of budget devices. This feature predetermines significant difficulties in removing various dirt, as well as fingerprints, from the display.

The phone does not have a function for automatically adjusting screen brightness. But this is not related to the quality of the corresponding hardware component - it is simply not installed in the smartphone. However, as testimonials from Nokia Lumia 530 customers testify, the absence of this option predetermines a minimum of inconvenience. In addition, as smartphone users note, you can always change the brightness of the device screen manually by selecting low, medium or high levels (but these options are not fixed; you can use a smooth method to determine the optimal screen brightness).

The smartphone display allows, thanks to Multitouch technology, to process up to 5 simultaneous finger touches. Experts, as well as device users, rate the quality of the corresponding function as high.

Camera

The Nokia Lumia 530 phone (reviews from some users are also not very positive in this regard) has only one camera, located at the back of the device. The lack of a frontal one is criticized by fans of “selfies” and Skype conversations. And this despite the fact that many competing models have 2 cameras. Also, many users complain that the corresponding hardware component is not equipped with either a flash or autofocus. However, the camera has a good resolution - 5 MP. The quality of images under adequate environmental conditions is characterized by users and specialists as quite decent. And this despite the fact that much more pronounced portions of criticism in terms of image quality sometimes fall on premium smartphone models. By the way, not all flagships of the market leaders in mobile gadgets are equipped with the same autofocus function.

Camera: software variety

Users have at their disposal a variety of software that allows them to use the camera capabilities of the Nokia Lumia 530 smartphone. Reviews from specialists and users regarding the convenience of the corresponding solutions are the most positive. The main application with which you can take pictures is Lumia Camera. Among its notable options are setting the necessary parameters for shutter speed, ISO, exposure, and white balance. There is one useful feature like bracketing, which allows you to shoot frames in series at different exposure parameters. You can use the Camera application, which is developed by Microsoft. In the Windows Phone "store" you can download other useful species software - such as, for example, “Lumia Panorama”.

The camera equipped with the Nokia Lumia 530 phone (reviews from smartphone owners characterizing the corresponding option are very positive) can shoot videos in good quality - 854 by 480 pixels and at a speed of 30 frames per second. Video content is recorded in MP4 files.

Sound

Like other devices in the Lumia line, the device in question is characterized by excellent sound reproduction quality, in all modes - through the speaker or when using headphones. However, the headset must be purchased separately. It is also necessary to activate the radio option - a signal is received through it.

Hardware and performance

The phone is equipped with a powerful Snapdragon 200 processor with 4 cores. The chip runs on Cortex-A7 architecture. Its clock frequency is 1.2 GHz. The processor is also equipped with a built-in graphics processing module Adreno 302, which, as experts note, is optimized for working with office software, video files, as well as for running undemanding games. The amount of RAM is 512 MB. This may not seem like much, since many competing budget solutions have 1 GB or even more. However, the specificity of Windows Phone OS is such that it does not require a lot of RAM to function. The specified amount of RAM is enough to run popular applications and games.

Test results

What can you say about the actual performance of the Nokia Lumia 530? Reviews from the owners of the device, as well as the opinions of specialists, characterize this aspect as a whole very positively. The results of AnTuTu tests can be called quite consistent with this assessment, in one of which the phone, having dialed 11,644, was only slightly inferior to a device more high levelLumia phone 630. In the PhoneMark test, the device in question showed 796 points - the same as the Lumia 635 smartphone scored. In the MultiBench tests, the device showed results that are also comparable to the numbers for the Lumia 630.

Communication capabilities

Let's look at the communication capabilities of the Nokia Lumia 530 smartphone. User reviews regarding this aspect characterize the device as fully meeting the needs of modern users. It has support for the most common wireless interfaces, as well as connections via USB. Many lovers of mobile electronics are impressed by the fact that the phone supports both of the world's largest navigation systems - GPS and GLONASS. Support for 2 SIM cards on the phone, however, cannot be considered complete. Active work is possible only with one of them. To use the functions of another, as experts note, you need to switch to it.

Battery

What can you say about the battery installed on the Nokia Lumia 530 DS? Reviews on this matter are very different. The battery capacity of the device is 1430 mAh. This resource enough for conversations for about 10 hours. The smartphone's standby time, according to the manufacturer, is 22 days. If the phone only works in audio playback mode, then the battery will last for 51 hours, if you watch video on it - for 5.5 hours. The practical indicators that users of the Nokia Lumia 530 DS were able to achieve (reviews from many experts in the field of mobile gadgets confirm this) are generally comparable to the declared capabilities of the phone.

The smartphone is characterized by great convenience in monitoring battery resources. So, in the phone settings you can see the current battery charge level, and also get estimated information about how much longer it can work without recharging. The interface of the corresponding application also allows you to find out which programs running on your phone consume more energy than others.

Time to complete a smartphone is about 2 hours. With an average intensity of use of the device, the battery resources, if not recharged, last for about a day. At the same time, the operating time can always be increased if, for example, you turn off Wi-Fi.

Software

The phone is controlled by Windows Phone OS version 8.1, which is characterized, as we noted above, by low demands on hardware.

The smartphone software structure contains all the main types of software that are in demand by modern users - radio, office programs cards. Everything you'll be missing can be downloaded from the app store for mobile version Windows.

What I didn't like

1) I understand that there are few applications in the Windows store, but why are they needed? In 4 years of using iPhones at Apple, I still haven’t found the ones I need - so, you set some little things to play with for two days, then abandon them. Only one organizer was useful, but Microsoft also has enough applications of this kind, and in general everything you need in this Windows phone is already there from the factory.
2) real minus: the round edges of the back cover, you have to be careful so that it does not slip out of your hands.
3) there is no front-facing video camera, but I’m not a schoolgirl to make faces in selfies, and on Skype I’ve never needed a video call from a mobile phone, my voice is enough on the go

What I liked

for phones in this price category: 1) a really readable screen, large enough for maps and a browser 2) very good speed work, no problems with Skype 3) unlike Android - a simpler and more convenient interface, with wide customization capabilities 4) unlike the handicrafts of Chinese craftsmen - everything is functional and works well, the Internet connects, the hotspot works with WEP/WPA keys and so on 5) there is a VPN, who needs it for work 6) the glass is protected on the sides with a plastic cover, so the chances of breaking it at the end are minimal 7) unlike the iPhone, there is a slot for an SD card, put at least 128GB - they cost a penny 8) strangely enough , on the market this phone was not designated as Dual-SIM, but on the store’s website it is indicated that 2 SIM cards are supported. in the end, for 3,500 rubles I got a real analogue of the iPhone 4S, the same weight and even greater capabilities. By the way, I consider the iPhones of the next generations to be unnecessary show-offs, there is no real meaning in them. I wouldn’t even spend an extra 3000 rubles on a Nokia 630, it’s better in 2 years when the battery runs out I’ll buy the next generation 530 9) there’s even the ability to transfer images to a projector or TV - and all this for $90! a very convenient function - a counter of downloaded megabytes, a limit on downloading per month, per day or per week, as well as the ability to prohibit background downloading of data by the phone without your permission. Finally, manufacturers treat customers' money normally! 10) a normal camera, where I’m interested in quality, again, not for “I’m in front of the Colosseum”, but to take a photo of a document and send it by email, or send it to a computer by connecting the phone to the computer as a flash drive. Nokia copes, but my $100 Huawei takes terrible photos, despite the stated megapixels. 11) charges from a computer, without requiring installation of programs on it - unlike the stupid feature of the iPhone, it can only be charged from computers that have iTunes installed.

Previous versions of budget Windows Phone smartphone ov turned out to be very popular due to their good price-functionality ratio. Actually, Nokia Lumia 530 is the company’s new representative in the budget segment. You will find out in the review what sacrifices the manufacturer had to make to keep the price of the device within reasonable limits.

Equipment

The smartphone comes in a small flat box containing the smartphone, Charger and paper documentation. Unfortunately, neither a headset nor a separate USB cable no inside.

Design and usability

Nokia Lumia 530 Dual SIM is an entry-level Windows Phone smartphone, so you shouldn’t expect to find metal elements of the case. Thanks to the bright color options of the rear panel, the appearance is not boring. There are four colors for the back cover: black, white, green and orange.

We received a version with a green lid for review. It is worth noting that the cover is not glossy, but matte, so fingerprints are not visible on it. The dimensions of the device are 119.7x62.3x11.7 mm and weight 129 grams.

The entire front side is covered by a protective panel. At the top of the panel there is a voice speaker, the manufacturer's logo and a 4-inch display. The left side is empty, but on the right there is a volume and power button. There is a microUSB connector at the bottom, and a 3.5 mm audio jack at the top. On the back there is a 5 MP camera lens, the manufacturer's logo and a multimedia speaker. Under the replaceable cover there is a battery, two slots for SIM cards in microSIM format and a slot for microSD memory cards.

If we talk about ease of use, the smartphone, despite its compact dimensions, seems thick. Otherwise, it is quite convenient to use, not least thanks to the well-thought-out arrangement of the keys.

operating system

Nokia Lumia 530 Dual SIM runs operating system Windows systems Phone 8.1. Interface operating system We have already described it in detail more than once, so we will focus only on impressions of the operation of the device.

First of all, it’s worth remembering that this may be a Windows Phone smartphone, but it’s still a budget one. As a result, the interface does not work as quickly and smoothly as on more powerful smartphones. But for undemanding users, the speed of the device will be enough.

Recently, devices under Windows control Phone has learned to work with two SIM cards. Actually, the hero of the review is one of these devices. To work with two SIM cards, the smartphone has two separate dialers and two message icons for each card, respectively. This is very good if you want to separate your work number from your personal number. In this case, the history of messages and dialing numbers will be individual for each SIM card.

Hardware platform

Since this is an entry-level smartphone, the processor is a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 MSM8210 with a clock frequency of 1.2 GHz and an Adreno 302 video accelerator. The amount of RAM is 521 MB, and the internal volume is 4 GB.

Of course, the characteristics are not impressive, but it is enough for simple arcade games, not to mention ordinary applications, which, although they do not open instantly, work very quickly.

The quality of the wireless interfaces is also very good. The device quickly finds satellites. In addition, it is worth remembering the wide navigation capabilities of the device. The speaker volume is good, it's difficult to miss a call.

The smartphone is clearly not intended for watching video. The built-in player does not support a sufficient number of codecs, so you will have to use third party application or convert all videos.

Despite the small battery capacity (1430 mAh), the battery life of the smartphone is very good. If you communicate actively enough on a smartphone, it lasts 2 days. If you moderate your appetites and turn off wireless transmission data, then the autonomy will be about 3-4 days.

Display

Nokia Lumia 530 Dual SIM is equipped with a 4-inch TN+Film display with a resolution of 854x480. The display does not have an oleophobic coating, so it is quite difficult to erase fingerprints. The display itself is quite recessed into the body and this is immediately noticeable.

The viewing angles of the screen are frankly small, but the brightness of the display is not so bad. Yes, the display does not allow you to use the device comfortably in sunny weather, but in the dark it performs well. As a result, the display will appeal only to undemanding users.

Camera

The smartphone has only one 5 MP camera without autofocus and flash. Front-camera absent. As is often the case with a budget device, the manufacturer saves not only on the screen, but also on the camera.

The camera settings are extremely simple. There is serial shooting, timer and others. Video settings are even more basic and limited. The video is recorded in 640X480 and 848X480 resolution.

If we talk about the quality of the captured photo, then it is worth noting that the camera installed is an entry-level one with no pretensions to anything more.

Results

Nokia Lumia 530 Dual SIM is primarily interesting for its low price, which, at the time of writing the review, was 1,599 UAH. Also, do not forget about a fairly high-quality case and current version Windows Phone 8.1 operating system. But due to the low cost, the manufacturer had to install a mediocre screen and camera. Therefore, the device will be of interest to those who want something more than just a dialer, but are not ready to spend a lot of money.
