Managing files using your computer

To transfer and manage files, connect your device to your Windows ® computer using a USB cable.

After connecting the devices, select the desired action: charging, transferring files, or using the device as a MIDI input. After selecting the connection mode File Transfer (MTP) the device will be detected by the computer. By default, the Charge Only option is selected.

The Xperia™ Companion app allows you to access file system devices. If this application is not already installed, you will be prompted when you connect your device to your computer.
