What does the track number look like if you are sending a parcel from Belarus?

In simple terms, there is a special international system for registering international postal items. Following this system, Belposhta assigns an international tracking number in UPU (Universal Postal Union) format (S10 standard).

The format of the parcel number sent from Belarus is as follows: :

For MPO weighing up to 2 kg (small packages): Rx123456785BY
For MPO weighing from 2 to 20 kg (parcels): Cx123456785BY
For EMS shipments up to 30 kg: Ex123456785BY
Where:
R/C/E — item type identifier;
x — a Latin letter from A to Z, which allows you to ensure the uniqueness of the number;
123456785 — a digital code that allows you to ensure the uniqueness of the number;
BY — designation of the sender’s country (in this case, Belarus) in accordance with the S10 UPU standard.

And keep in mind that it is impossible to track which country the package was sent to, due to the fact that this is not provided for by the system itself.

How to track your Belposhta parcel?

Belposhta provides its own parcel tracking system, you can find it at this address Search for parcels. It’s very easy to use, just enter your parcel number in the field and click the Search button.

What to do if your parcel is lost?

Status “Data needs to be clarified to be transferred to customs”— this entry means that when preparing a postal item for transfer to customs control, it was established that there was no customs declaration (not completely filled out) or problems arose with the address details of the recipient (only the last name or only the first name, last name and initials, post office box, to demand). When this status appears, you must fill out the attached form - “Form to fill out”, otherwise the shipment will be returned to the sender. Data in the form only needs to be entered once. 06/03/2013 Changes were made to the Law on Postal Services of the Republic of Belarus, mainly affecting recipients of international mail. Due to the fact that many were not aware of the upcoming changes, a huge number of parcels were returned. Therefore, I decided to make a post on this topic.

Information from the Belposhta website:

Dear Clients!
We draw your attention to the fact that, according to the Law on Postal Services of the Republic of Belarus, the address data of users of postal services must contain information about the individual:
last name, first name and patronymic (if available),
full postal address:
street name, house and apartment numbers, name of the locality, post office index, name of the district and region, and for international mail - the name of the country of origin or destination.
At the same time, in accordance with the requirements of the Acts of the Universal Postal Union (Article RK of the Letter Post Regulations, Article RP 146 of the Parcel Post Regulations), for all international postal items containing a commodity attachment, the sender duly fills out a customs declaration CN22 or CN23 (according to the instructions on the reverse side of the forms ), and it must be indicated:
- a detailed description of the attachment in English or French, interlinear translation into the language of the destination country is allowed.
- the cost of each item indicating the name of the currency (dollar or euro);
- weight of goods or total weight of the shipment.
Filling out CN22 or CN23 with general information (gifts, clothing, things) is NOT ACCEPTABLE.
Indication of incomplete address information of the addressee and an incomplete customs declaration creates difficulties when transferring international postal items with a commodity enclosure to customs control, during delivery and handing over of postal items to recipients, and, consequently, the lack of required information will lead to the return of items to the return address.

The postal tracking service of the Belpochta website search.belpost.by contains the following information:
!!!If we receive a record of your shipment “ The recipient's data is required for transfer to customs", You need to go to the form to fill out the recipient's data. Otherwise, the shipment will be returned, because Incomplete information about the recipient is provided!!!
However, one has to doubt the functionality of the form, because after filling out all the fields and pressing the " send data» on the new page, in small print, information appears that the message has not been sent, so if you receive a record for your shipment “Recipient details are required for transfer to customs”, in order to avoid a return, duplicate it to the email address
