Setting procedure

Reliable. I have had this MFP for 4 years now and have had no problems with it. Even though the cat constantly jumps onto him from the closet (from a height of more than 1.5 meters, the cat weighs 5 kg), nothing broke. Paper jams are very rare (mostly only if newly printed magnetized sheets are immediately inserted for printing on the other side, but any printer will jam). No problems with drivers. I don’t know who has any problems, I installed it on Win7 from off. driver website, but for Win8 and Linux, native drivers are installed, and that’s fine. Low cartridge consumption (over these 4 years the cartridge has only now begun to run out, but I don’t print very often).

After half a year, the internal mechanisms began to creak, if the paper jams, then the “wheels” that push the paper out of the tray may break; if this happens, the paper jam will always occur. Noisy warm-up for 11 seconds. heats up quickly (do not confuse warming up with heating).

If you use manual feed, it often takes sheets from both the tray and manual feed - as a result, both get stuck. you have to pull it out by hand - it’s not very convenient, and after that it prints on subsequent sheets what was printed on the jammed one: in this case, only pulling out the cartridge helps.

1. Warming up - no comments, you can have time to smoke and have time to forget that you wanted to make a copy of something.
2. A hand tray is convenient because it holds the sheet of paper, but what it does next with it has nothing to do with its true purpose.

4.The “Multiple copies of one document” function is not perfect! - i.e. when you make a copy of your passport, you need to make 2 pages of the passport on one sheet in 3 copies and then you enter the number of copies - 3, press START, it makes 3 copies, but you need to put the same sheets back in order to make a blank there was the second page of the passport, and the manual feed tray only takes one

A very slow printer. The printer is on the sales floor. Often, 1.5-2 minutes pass from the moment the invoice is sent for printing until it is received. This is due to the fact that the printer warms up before printing, it takes a very long time to warm up and it does this not just once when turned on, like other devices, but quite regularly.
If you type with a pause of several minutes, then it’s even more or less tolerable. If the pause between printing is 15-20 minutes, then you have to wait a very long time for the first sheet to come out. Therefore, this printer is practically impossible to use if you need to print several times a day.
This printer not only doesn’t like paper, it doesn’t hate it. get ready to select it specifically for him. As we have already noticed, “Snegurochka” and others like her chew regularly.
The cost of printing is also unknown.

1) In the middle of the printed sheet on this printer, 3 fingerprints constantly appear. (On all documents, be it text or graphic) It’s very frustrating, even though they are not very visible.
2) You can’t cancel printing or copying (or you can only do it in extraordinary ways)
3) There is no double-sided printing (but this is so, for such a price, it shouldn’t be)
4) Of course it makes noise, but it doesn’t bother me at all.
5) printing on solid sheets needs to be adjusted, otherwise the weight of the sheet in strips.
6) The scanner cover is very light, so you have to put pressure on it or put something on it (to press the sheet).
7) The sheet heats up during printing and at this moment (when it is heated or still warm) it is better not to touch it, since if you wipe or even just touch the printed text with your finger, it will be erased.

Noisy, after 1.5 years of use it requires cleaning the entire mechanism, (CLARKING LOUDLY) cleaning costs 1 - 2 thousand rubles. If you accidentally press the print button, then you just have to pull out the cancel button (or rather, it does, but it only works when using a scanner)

Appearance and design features

The Samsung SCX-4220 MFP is made of smoky matte plastic, and the side walls of the device, the output tray and the control panel are made of matte dark gray plastic. This model is distinguished by its compact size and discreet design.

Installing the driver in Windows 7
